Indian Cyber Army is an Initiative to Act as a resource centre for Police, Investigation Agencies, Research Centers, Ethical Hackers, Industry Experts, Government Agencies, Academic Leaders & Individuals together to counter internet-related threats, cyber crimes and foster information exchange on existing cybercrime patterns.
Today, misuse of the internet by common citizens as well as terror groups has become a major concern. Intelligence agencies across the world are working together to curb this grave issue. To protect the interest and guard the security of its citizens, This E-Surveillance agency was started under the Proprietorship Act in 2011 and was transformed into a Not for Profit Organization under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 in the Year 2016.
Indian Cyber Army is the only Representative, National Voluntary Organization of Ethical Hackers. It voices out the concerns and valued opinions of Ethical Hackers as well as Security Professionals. It’s core aim is to protect the community and the nation, at large from Unethical hacking and cyber frauds. To achieve this, it produces useful tools, such as crime prevention strategy, cyber crime investigation training, suggestions on laws & policies, etc.
It also focuses on offering training and demonstrations, investigative support and R & D Support to agencies and entities involved in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of White Color / Cyber crimes & sharing case studies and receiving expert opinion from think tanks working towards a cybercrime-free India.With millions of people accessing the internet, the probability of cybercrimes such as hacking, online frauds, online scams, identity thefts increases.
REGISTRATION & INCORPORATION
INDIAN CYBER ARMY is operational since January 2011 to serve as the National Platform of understanding and thereby carrying out development of cyber defense skills which in-turn will protect citizens, businesses, critical infrastructures of the state, and e-governance of Digital India.
THE ESTABLISHMENT: Indian Cyber Army is Registered under Indian Trusts Act. 1882. As per section 3 of Indian Trust Act 1882, A Non-Profit Organization is a citizen-based association that operates independently of government and organized on a local, national or international level.
Non-Profit Organizations are task-oriented and driven by people with a common interest and perform a variety of functions, bring citizen concerns to Governments, advocate and monitor policies and encourage political participation through provision of information.
Indian Cyber Army is being governed by the General Law of The Indian Trusts Act. 1882.
