Kislay Chaudhary session On “Bank Fraud” Cases at CDTS

The Central Detective Training School (CDTS), Ghaziabad invited Mr. Kislay Chaudhary, Chairman Indian Cyber Army (ICA) to deliver lecture on “Bank Fraud Cases including Plastic Card Fraud” w.e.f. 27.02.2017 to 03.03.2017.

67 police officials attended this Cyber Security training program from the rank of Sub-inspectors to Superintendents to upgrade their investigative aptitudes on cyber security. Among the total police officials 3 of them were Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), 9 of them were inspector and rest 55 of them were Sub Inspector (SI) from different states of the country.

Kislay chaudhary, CDTS, Indian Cyber ArmyCDTS is currently a ‘centre of excellence’ and will lead specialized counter terrorism and insurgency courses for police officials. The School in Ghaziabad was established in 2012 and was started by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D).

Though the banking industry is generally well regulated and supervised, the sector suffers from its own set of challenges when it comes to ethical practices, financial distress and corporate governance.

The training endeavors to cover issues such as banking frauds and mounting credit card debt, with a detailed analysis using secondary data (literature review and case approach) as well as an interview-based approach, spanning across all players involved in reporting financial misconduct. The purpose of imparting the aforesaid training is to prepare investigators for getting latest knowledge and awareness of scientific techniques of investigation and latest developments in the Forensic fields.

The Training finally proposes some recommendations to reduce future occurrence of frauds in Indian banking sector. The credibility of third parties such as auditing firms and credit rating agencies is also questioned in the training and is believed to be a significant contributor amongst other causes, such as oversight by banks and inadequate diligence.

Mr.Kislay Chaudhary during cyber security training covered the following topics:

  • Investigation of Plastic cards, Credit Card, Debit Card and ATM Card
    and online betting Case.
  • Internet Banking, Cyber Crime with case studies.
  • Search and Seizure in digital environment.
  • IT Act 2000 with its amendment important legal issues.

Mr. Kislay Chaudhary being Founder and Chairman of Indian Cyber Army, and an Investigation Adviser and Analyst to Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Delhi Police. He is additionally the Visiting Faculty and Trainer to CBI Academy and CDTS, BPRD, Govt. of India.
